Trains do not take patrons all the way to the outlet where you will have to find alternatives while buses and shuttles may depart from the borough of Queens instead which could add to your budget and commute time from your hotel in Manhattan.
Car Rental
If you decide to rent a car while in New York, White Plains, NY is one of the inexpensive area to do this. Please note you will have tolls, gas and parking to worry about should you rent one so stick with mass transit and private services.

. If you do not require a round trip ride and will stay in the area, AA Express Trails will come in handy with their one way fares.
Hours
The opening hours for Woodbury Common Premium Outlets are from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. Please note that openings as early as 9:00 AM and 7:00 AM are possible in the year and are told in advance online.
Sales Tax
Unlike other US States, the State of New York imposes sales tax on clothing so any deep discounts and savings you receive while shopping at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets will soon vanish away once the 8.125% sales tax for Orange County is added so be sure to make use of the VIP coupon booklets.
Performances
Please keep in mind that all performances at the Woodburry Commons Premium Outlets are done weather permitting so be sure to check the forecast when planning to take part.
Senior Discount
If you are at least fifty (50) years of age, you can take advantage of an added ten percent (10%) savings on Tuesdays by simply presenting a photo identification with your proof of age to the cashier at participating stores.
Subway
The subway is localize to New York City and therefore is not available for use to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. Trains, however, are available to take you to a station that is located three (3) miles from the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets which make for a sixty (60) minute walk each way unless you hire a taxi cab.
Taxi Cabs
Taxi Cabs (which can go on strike) are available from Manhattan but after calculating the costs, it is not an option to consider. It is best to take the Metro-North Railroad train to the Harriman Station then choose any taxi cab from the station for approximately US$10.00 each way.
Trains (Alert: Irene damaged tracks)
The MTA’s Metro-North Railroad Port Jervis trains are available to drop you at the Hariman Station located approximately three (3) miles) from the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. You will then need to hail a US$10.00 taxi cab for each leg of the trip between the Hariman Station and the outlet.
Shuttles
Shuttles are available directly to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets which helps you to avoid taking a taxi cab from the Hariman Station. Charter buses that are available with fares of US$37.00 are CitySights NY and Gray Line New York
. Buses available with fares costing over US$40.00 are All New York Tours, Coach USA/Shortline and Woodbury Bus.
