NEW YORK (OCN) — The subway keeps New York moving 24/7, and keeping the subway moving takes maintenance.
The MTA does most of that work on weekends, necessitating service changes that can sometimes be confusing.
To help locals and visitors get where they want to go, the MTA has created The Weekender and you’ll find it at mta.info every weekend, starting Friday afternoons.
To get started, click on the map (showing on mta.info) or use the top menu to search by station, subway line, or borough. If there’s work at your station, the map will blink so you can tell at a glance.
You can also use TripPlanner+ (for alternate directions) to let the MTA do the navigating for you – around any service change.
So, what do you think? We would love to hear your thoughts on the New York Forum.
