PENNSYLVANIA (OCN) — Effective June 6, 2011, Capital Area Transit’s (CAT) current commuter express service to Dillsburg will be provided by rabbittransit. rabbittransit is a transit authority located in York PA and is the official provider of local bus service for York and Adams County. rabbittransit is establishing weekday express service from Gettysburg to Harrisburg beginning June 6th. As Dillsburg is in York County, CAT is relinquishing this stop to rabbittransit.
CAT will continue the Route 120 express service to Harrisburg from the Winding Hill Park & Ride. Buses leave this location on weekdays at 6:52 AM and 7:12 AM to arrive at the Market Square Transfer Center at 7:15 AM and 7:40 AM. This is a CAT Zone 1 stop. A monthly pass is $49 and the one way cash fare is $1.75.
The rabbittransit service will originate in Gettysburg with additional stops at Gateway Gettysburg, E. Berlin Rd and the park & ride lot on S. Baltimore Street in Dillsburg. Rabbittransit will honor the CAT monthly pass for June, thereafter rabbittransit will determine the fare. There will be one inbound trip leaving Gettysburg at 6:05 AM, Dillsburg at 6:45 AM and arriving in downtown Harrisburg at 7:15 AM. The return trip will leave downtown Harrisburg at 3:50 PM to arrive at Dillsburg at 4:31 PM.
