NEW YORK (OCN) — A few New York City locker storage facilities did well due to the snow this week. With numerous feet of snow on the ground making travel around Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx slower, it was simple to drop off bags, backpacks, attache cases and bulky items in storage instead of reserving hotels at expensive holidays rates and explore the city.
With another snow fall expected in days and transportation trying to play catch up, it could be another windfall for the businesses.
Also expecting to make a killing are local car washes. With snow and salt on chrome rims and expensive paint jobs, they too will clean up (in more way than one) providing there are no water shortages due to a water main break or explosion.
