NEW YORK (OCN) — Are you allowed to bring your still or video camera to a venue in New York? You may not know the answer currently but thieves are aware that some venues have camera restrictions while other do not so the ones that allowed you to bring your electronic gadgets to capture memories will be the areas to wait to pounce on you.
Not using the subways near the venue? Well, if you walk pass one while leaving, be cautious of a quick grab. As you are near the subway, the thief will take the stairs then hop the train leaving you and your empty hands behind.
Using the subways? While on the ride, do not leave your camera bag on an empty beside you. Not only is it against the MTA’s policy of occupying multiple seats and make you the candidate for a ticket, you leave the bag and camera wide opened to be grabbed by a thiey as the train door closes to depart the station leaving you inside the train and the thief and bag outside dashing away.
