NEW YORK (OCN) — Expecting or mailing something to New York? Need to know if it will be delivered on Christmas Eve? Well, your mail will be delivered on Christmas Eve only if Christmas Eve does not fall on a Sunday as mail is never delivered Sundays.
Sunday, December 24, 2006 and Sunday, December 24, 2017 are examples of Christmas Eve on Sunday where no mail will be delivered.
Before mailing it off, please make sure that a return address is on the top left of the envelope or written on the back so it can be returned to you if undelivered or have insufficient postage. Your mail can take anywhere from two (2) to nine (9) days (including holidays) to get to your destination in New York as the United States Postal Service (USPS) does not guarantee delivery of Standard Mail. To have it in three (3) days, you may want to consider Priority Mail for peace of mind and and to avoid problems if your mail is time sensative.
