TEXAS (OCN) — A Texas group, the Texas Citizens Defense League, is petitioning the governor and the state to allow Texas citizens to carry firearms in plain sight. Texas, along with only six states, prohibits the practice.
So is it dangerous? Well, in 2007 in the State of Utah, police officers saw a man carrying a shotgun openly on the street of Ogden. When officers approached to man to question him, he allegedly shot at the officers who in turn returned fire killing him.
It will be intesesting to see if it passes and watch people walk into a Police Station, bank or school with one since they have right to bear arms.
