NEW YORK (OCN) — For more than 25 years, Kevin J. Plunkett was an attorney at the white-show law firm of Thacher, Proffitt & Wood.
So far it is undetermined if it was an “executive decision” on his part or of the firm as TP&W has been making personnel changes due to a collapse of the market according to an article on Law.com.
Plunkett was recently shown on YouTube in a Rye City Council meeting that was held on September 5, 2007. In the video, you can clearly see Plunkett who is known for his “abrasive style” in the law community.
So what will happen to attorneys who leave TP&W? Those who leave can try to start their own law firm as with Ike Echeruo who is a now a partner of Echeruo,Counsel, Attorneys at Law, LLP
It will be interesting to see in 40 years (TP&W 200th anniversary) how the firm keeps its dominance in the law community.
