Well, immgrants permits takes up to twelve (12) weeks by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and USCIS (US Citizenship & Immigration Services) while those seventeen (17) and under who are in school and need an evening or summer job will need follow other methods to obtain Working Permits in New York to determine the length.
USCIS will take your fingerprints and foward it to the FBI for processing which takes three (3) to four (4) weeks. Once the FBI has your results, they are returned to USCIS which takes another four (4) to six (6) weeks to be processed.
