How does one get from Penn Station, NY to Atlantic City, NJ? Well, it depends on the day of the week that you plan to go.
Trains (ACES Service is Discontinued)
For starters, there is the Atlantic City Express Service (ACES) Train that is operated by New Jersey Transit under contract with Amtrak. Unfortunately, this service is only provided on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and is subject to cancellation since it is funded by the gaming industry in Atlantic City, NJ. For most New York residents and visitors, this will not be a problem as they have to work weekdays to earn the funds that they plan to spend on entertainment, gambling plus transportation. To use the three (3) hour service, visit the underground levels of New York Penn Station located in midtown Manhattan on Friday, Saturday or Sunday to catch the train to the Atlantic City Convention Center. Please be aware that this service can be late as it shares tracks with NJ Transit Amtrak which will have more priority to their own lines.
