Are you mailing something to New York? If you need to mail something (a letter, a card, an invoice, etc.) to a destination in the State of New York, the info below will let you know how long and how much will it cost.
Postage Cost:
First-Class mail letters requires a minimum of one “First-Class” rate stamp but multiple stamps will do if the value is equal to or more than the “First-Class” rate.
First-Class Mail Weight restriction:

2.0 oz – $0.71 until April 2016
3.0 oz – $0.93 until April 2016
3.5 oz – $1.15 until April 2016
* Effective when rate adjustment applies.
Dimension Restrictions:
Height 3-1/2 inches 6-1/8 inches
Length 5 inches 11-1/2 inches
Thickness 0.007 inch 1/4 inch
Delivery Time:
Before mailing it off, please make sure that a return address is on the top left of the envelope or written on the back so it can be returned to you if undelivered or have insufficient postage. Your mail can take anywhere from two (2) to nine (9) days (including holidays) to get to your destination in New York as the United States Postal Service (USPS) does not guarantee delivery of Standard Mail. To have it in three (3) days, you may want to consider Priority Mail for peace of mind and to avoid problems if your mail is time sensative.
If it will be a small postcard, a large greeting card or a letter in a carboard/manila envelope, see the USPS link at http://postcalc.usps.gov for rates and delivery times. Note that due to the weather and unexpected events, USPS may deliver your mail late so be sure to send with sufficient time. More tips can be found in the handy consumer guide.
