Planning on visiting Hershey Park from New York City? We have a few options that will be helpful to you and your family and friends.
Local Buses
If you would like to leave New York City by bus, you may take a Greyhound bus from Port Authority Bus Terminal to Harrisburg, PA. Once in Harrisburg, PA at the Harrisburg Station, take the CAT (Capital Area Transit) #322 bus to Hersey Park.
Local Trains
If you would like to leave New York City by train, you may take an Amtrak train from New York Penn Station to Harrisburg, PA. Once in Harrisburg, PA at the Harrisburg Station, take the CAT (Capital Area Transit) #322 bus to Hersey Park. At this time, there are no rail system that will take guests from the Harrisburg Station to Hershey Park.
Know Before You Go
Guests visiting Hershey Park should know that picnic lunches and food items are not permitted inside the Park. There are picnic areas available outside the park for guests to use. Water bottles (one per person) can be taken to Hersey Park but the water bottle must be sealed. Radios and/or sound emitting, electronic devices, skate shoes (Heely’s) are not permitted. In addition, weapons of any type and laser light pointers are never permitted in the Park. Locker storage is available at the picnic areas. Skate shoes are not permitted. For your safety, ALL hand-carried items, including backpacks and belt bags, are subject to search. Metal detection equipment may also be used during your visit. If you drive, you are encouraged to keep nonessential items in your vehicles.
