Your first task will be to travel from JFK to Penn Station, New York in Manhattan using one of the many options available. Once you travel from JFK to Penn Station, New York, you will need to purchase a rail ticket at New York Penn Station for travel between New York, NY (NYP) and New Haven, CT (NHV) and this can be with either Amtrak Acela Express or Amtrak Northeast Regional train service, which will take under two (2) hours. When you arrive in New Haven, CT, you can take a taxi cab from the New Haven, CT station to Cheshire, CT or request your hotel’s complimentary shuttle if available.
Rails from Cheshire, Connecticut
Your first task will be to travel from Cheshire, CT to the New Haven, CT station located approximately fifteen (15) miles away. Please be aware during hurricane and severe winter seasons, Amtrak may postpone or cancel service to protect their equipment and their riders who travel so you should watch the weather and forecast carefully and have a backup option available so you can return to the airport or get to the hotel in Cheshire, CT. If both the Amtrak Acela Express or Amtrak Northeast Regional train service are suspended, your option would be to take the GO Airlink Shuttle or hire a taxi cab or car service.
