How is Toronto, Canada for New York tourists? It is great and New York travellers will love it.
Toronto has some great beaches and in the east of the city, there is a huge sandy beach that goes on for a couple miles and a boardwalk for couples who would love to walk it.
A few blocks from the beach, there are some nice shops for clothing, ice cream, chocolate and beach fun. If you are a nature lover, there is High Park which is huge and is located in the middle of the city and it is similar to Central Park in the City of New York.
There are so many shopping areas in the city that you may run short on time to check them all. The best areas are Younge Street, Queen Street, Danforth Avenue and Bloor Street West which has shopping opportunities for miles.
There are many cultural areas such as Greek Town, India Town, China Town, Jamaica Town, Korea Town, 2 little Italy’s, Portugal town and much more along with many festivals and parades in the summer so be sure to explore them all on your visit.
Need more? There is an amusement park about thirty (30) minutes from the city, zoos, and the famous Niagara Falls just two (2) hours away.
If you are aiming to go, you should skip driving or renting a car and use Amtrak’s Maple Leaf or Trailways and Greyhound’s NeOn buses as traffic is as awful as it is in New York. Besides, Toronto has a great subway system and if you drove, it would take about an hour just to get across the city.
