How close is Fao Schwarz to Penn Station in New York? Very close and that helps it to be on the list of the sightseeing spots in Midtown, New York and is a favorite of kids and adults as well. Locals and visitors of New York likes to visit Fao Schwarz as it is a great and fun place to hang out with the family.
Located within ten (10) minutes of New York Penn Station by mass transit and 40 minutes by foot, Fao Schwarz is accessible by walking southeast (against traffic) on West 33rd Street towards the Avenue of the Americas which is often called Sixth Avenue.
Once at the Avenue of the Americas, turn right unto the Avenue of the Americas and continue to walk (against traffic) towards Fao Schwarz which is located on your right.
With the streets being one-ways, it is very easy to remember where you are going and lessen your chances of getting lost. While walking, please do not distract yourself with a cell phone or MP3 player so you can stay alert to drivers, cyclists and and thieves looking to take your electronics. While going to Fao Schwarz, you will see traffic coming easier but on your return to New York Penn Station, the traffic will be behind you making it harder to jump out the way of an out-of-control vehicle.
Want to get there in half the time? Have a condition that prohibits you from walking or standing for long periods? A taxi cab can be helpful to you or grab a subway map and follow the directions.
