Are you trying to call a person or business in the State of New York?
Well, you will need to know their 10-digit phone number to properly contact them. In the past, one could dial the last seven digits of a phone number from certain areas in the State of New York but the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) made this 10-digit dialing process a requirement.
Below is a list of area codes in New York that are currently being used and do not include toll free numbers used in New York by businesses to help save a customer from paying for a call or to ensure they have a vanity (ie. 1-800-MATTRES) number.
212, 315, 347, 516, 518, 585, 607, 631, 646, 716, 718, 845, 914, 917 and 929.
