Are you planning on speeding in New York? The DOT has created a series of television and outdoor ads to call attention to the fact the speed limit in New York City is 30 mph and that it is no arbitrary number.
If caught speeding, you will face points, fines along the possibility of prison time so you should watch your speeds and drive smart.
Most drivers who are caught speeding are usually at railroad-crossing, overtaking on the highway and at red light camera locations in New York.
If you require legal representation to aid with the charges, contact the New York State Bar Association as you will receive points from New York and the state that issued your license to drive. The State of New Jersey (for example) adds a penalty of two (2) points to your New Jersey Drivers license.
