Greeting friends. I would like to know if there are lockers at the Javits Convention Center so I can leave my stuff.
If lockers are not available, are there any free or cheap places that is safe to leave it? Thank you so much.

They have storage and it cost $3.00 per item. There are other locker storage providers but it cost more.
The only benefit is if you loose something at the Javits, it will be given to the State Police.
Police will hold it for about 90 days and then it is donated if no claims or they did not locate you.

There are no fixed areas for coat and luggage check. They are normally placed near registration areas in the public spaces (North and South Concourses), the Taxi Drop-off area and the Crystal Palace. Patrons with fur and leather coats are encouraged to check their items at the secure permanent coat checks adjacent to the Special Events Hall on Level 1.

I would not want my Apple iPad 2 end up in an auction and funds donated to charity.

$3.00 per item? Are they going to charge me $6.00 to leave a coat and umbrella?

Use a mini instead of a jumbo umbrella for your exploration of NYC.
You can then put both into a tote bag and be charged one piece.
Another option is to put the wet umbrella inside your coat pocket.

Wear a raincoat and ditch the umbrella as it will poke somebody's eye out who will sue your pants off.

Finally, Javits is doing something about lost items.

New Lost & Found Procedures
January 2015image_pdfimage_print
The Javits Center has implemented new software to track lost and found items at the facility and help return items to their respective owners. This software will help to expedite the return of lost property and assist staff in logging in details about the specific items lost and/or found.

All inquiries regarding lost property should be directed to the Security and Safety Solutions Department at (212) 216-2196 or the Concierge Desk at (212) 216-2100.

Visitors also can email commandctr@javistcenter.com for further information.
