Queens Borough Public Library, a private non-profit corporation located in Queens, New York, is a national and international leader in the delivery of public library service. The Queens Library includes 63 public libraries with 1,700 employees.
We are currently looking for a dynamic CFO to join our Executive Team. The CFO will be responsible for managing an operating budget of $120 million and a capital budget of $150 million with a diverse funding base. The CFO must be a proven leader and a strategic business partner with the ability to manage and develop a Finance Team. Demonstrated ability to recommend and implement financial policies, participate in the negotiation of major contracts, and oversee/manage all budget, treasury, payroll, accounting, grants management and procurement. The CFO must be both strategic and hands-on to manage the daily operations.
The ideal candidate will possess superior analytical skills and impeccable judgment. In addition, must have the ability to synthesize information, to see the big picture organizationally, while effectively managing details. Bachelors degree with a minimum of ten (10) years financial management experience desired. CPA and/or MBA required. Experience with a complex integrated financial management system required.
