CALIFORNIA (OCN) – Crash dummies who volunteer with Toyota’s Safety Division are speaking out.
The groups of dummies says that the vehicles are always crashing with them so Toyota knew this well in advance before the vehicles hit the market.
So far, only one dummy has ever avoided a crash which volunteers for a competing automaker. According to reports, it took control of the vehicle and swerved around a wall giving it time to escape unharmed.

Pauline Amandy, 45, says that Fixing Furry Friends in Newark, NJ was to give her cat a flea bath while she went to work in Manhattan. Amandy noticed that when she went to pickup her precious Snowball after work, a weird sound was coming from Snowball’s cage.
“I was startled” says Amandy. “I didn’t know what it was.” Later, Amandy discovered the sound was coming from a cat litter box located inside the cage. The litter box had a feature that when a feline entered and left, it would filter the sand automatically removing any urine and feces to keep it clean.
“It’s spying on my cat” says Amandy in a recent interview at her home. “He [Snowball] should not have to put up with that.”
Snowball is said to be a shy cat and the liter box at Fixing Furry Friends could scar him from using a litter box in the future. It took weeks to get Snowball trained so now Amandy fears that Snowball will take once again to her sofa and carpet.
The Amandy’s are suing for pain and suffering and an undisclosed amount in damages.

NEW YORK (OCN) — Dr. Jose McCullum (known as ‘Sexy’ to friends) spent five years in prison for molesting a Nassau County girl in 2000 and created a new identity for himself to avoid having to register as a sex offender, police said. Under Megan’s Law, offenders are required to register once they move into a new area.
Dr. McCullum, 45, was released from prison in 2005. In 2006, McCullum changed his name to Jose Lopez, creating a driver’s license, phony birth certificate and a Social Security card, police said. He also used the alias Jose Rodriquez and several other identities.
Acting on a tip, Glen Cove Detective Julio Sanchez and Detective Felicia Woods staked out the Broad Street building where McCullum was living. Assisted by Elizabeth, New Jersey police, they arrested McCullum as he walked to his Lexus LS 400 parked in the parking lot.
The detectives are continuing their probe of Dr. McCullum to see if he has any further victims since his disappearance in 2006.

With lawsuits from injured jumpers over the years, the MTA hopes the hefty fee (plus 30 day extenstion fee of US$5.00) will be a burden to potential jumpers and will aid in reducing the number of suicide attempts in their network.
According to a spokesperson who wishes to remain anonymous, failure to apply for a permit with the MTA and later can be proved through police investigation that the incident was a suicide attempt and not an accident or crime from a third party, will give the he MTA the green light to go after asset to recover for losses.
A benefit for the MTA and the city with the permit is a counsellor can be detached to aid the person(s) considering suicide and with the information collected helps in identifying the jumpers remains.

A New Jersey car wash in Parsippany, NJ has posted a sign on their property saying that for the safety of their workers and customers, they will no longer accept Toyota vehicles on their properties.
For now, it appears that Scion and Lexus vehicles (which are Toyota lines) are safe from the ban but is this act legal?
According to a local attorney, the owners of a car wash (or any other business for that matter) can refuse services to anyone as long as doing so isn’t due to their being a member of a specific group (racial, sexual, etc).
We were concerned that Toyota drivers would be a “group” but was also told the driving a certain type of vehicle is not a protected group, so the business can legally ban owners as they choose.
