Airlines Hire Female Pilots to Cut Airfare

NEW YORK (OCN) — Are you tired of expensive airfare? Well, one airline has a way to combat the problem. Starting Sunday, November 2, 2008, American Airline will be using more women as pilots. Why the move? According to reports, the female pilots will be earning a lower pay grade than what the men are getting.

While the airline pay out less in salaries, they can use the difference to offset the high fuel that hit all the airlines earlier this year.

So far, the Women’s Rights Movement (WRM) are okay with it as it mean more job opportunities for women. “In this slow economy, every job helps” says WRM Representative Marsha Clarke “and we hope other airlines follow suit.”
