Let’s Share EZ-Pass
NEW YORK (OCN) — This one is for the record books. Earlier today, Julio and Juanita Lopez from the Bronx were trying to cheat the E-ZPass System. The couple were trying to drive close to each other so the system would count their two vehicles (a Nissan Altima and Honda Civic) as one vehicle.
Mrs. Lopez who was trailing behind did not see that a gate was installed yesterday to eliminate evaders. Mrs. Lopez, shocked to see her husband braking hard tried to brake herself and accidentally hit the accelerator in her Altima causing her to speed up hitting her husband Civic causing the two to be wedged neat the booth.
Police were already on scene directing traffic due renovations on the remainder off the toll booths. “I’ve never seen anything like this” says State Trooper Michael West. “If I wasn’t here I wouldn’t have never believed it.”
The couple was arrested and taken to a nearby hospital for observation and will be arrained on Friday.
